At the end of the year, various brand apps have sent personal summaries, some expressing gratitude for the companionship along the way, and some encouraging and cheering on for the future... In the past, I never paid attention to them. But now, at an age without competitiveness, I suddenly started to care.
Because perhaps only through these things can I comfort myself that I am making progress every year, facing a salary that will never increase, and indicating that I am actively embracing challenges. At the same time, I dedicate this to those who are struggling on the edge of life, constantly refining themselves through learning.
The daily English check-in is more diligent than my child, persisting for a thousand days, and still unable to understand English articles. I still need to watch movies with bilingual subtitles. But this is something that cannot be rushed.
I have internalized it as a habit, and if I don't check in every day, I can't even sleep well. I have already completed all the elementary school dictionaries in BaiCiZhan. I think now I should have no problem reading an English children's picture book.
I have read 62 books this year, of which I have read 21, and the rest are my daughter's reading achievements. If I have to pick one book from my reading list this year, then I recommend "The Salvation Plan," which I have already explained in a previous article.
I have completed 876 tasks on TickTick, and I have fully incorporated this tool into my production system.
Why do we have to list trivial matters? To reduce brain memory usage. The more trivial and unworthy things are, the less they should be remembered. The brain did not evolve to remember such trivial matters.
Free up more memory in the brain for thinking. Writing is a derivative of thinking results, not everything. I have written 50 blog posts this year, achieving the goal set at the beginning of the year.
I have watched 42 movies and TV shows this year. Similarly, if I have to recommend the best one of the year, I choose "The Long Season," although the ending is slightly too sublime.
Next year's plan is to optimize based on this year's achievements. I can write more blog posts, share more notes and articles related to efficiency; I can't stop reading, but maybe next year I can set a goal of thirty books, read more professional-related books, and read fewer novels. As for movies and TV shows, there's nothing much to say. Watch whatever I love based on personal taste.
